News /Bulletin -- Some Exciting News if You Love Math!

- If you are fairly new to the math contest in Canada, please read this post.
- For year 2026, the math contest CSMC/CIMC (Canadian Senior and Intermediate Math Contest) will be held on Wednesday, November 18th. CSMC is recommended to students in Grade 11 and 12 to participate, while CIMC is recommended for students in Grade 9 and 10.
- For year 2026, COMC (Canadian Open Math Challenge) will be held on October 29th. Recommended for students in grade 7-12 who love the challenge of math. -- Registration will be open soon.
- On IMO 2026 (International Math Olympiad) that has concluded in Shanghai, China, the China and US team have won the top two spots. Canada team stood on the 13th place.
- 2026 Fields Medal (the prestige medal for mathematicians under 40 years old) were awarded to the four mathematicians who share the honor. -- Congratulations to them all, especially the two originally from China, and the one who came to, and currently works in Canada (Univ. of Toronto)
